Home Made Train Horn
« on: March 22, 2011, 03:01:44 PM »

Heres my home made train horn I built out of PVC and aluminum
you can buy the "how to's" on eBay HERE

it took about 3 hours to tune the thing to the sound i wanted, its not that hard to make i only spent about $22 making the thing but thats cause its a 4" diaphragm with a 1" bell tube, instead of 3" diaphragm and a 1/2" bell tube.

future plans to somehow mount it in my rig probably along the top of one of the fenders then make an air line travel through the firewall to a switch near me to as regulator and to an air tank, all i need now is the air line and a switch thats spring loaded so its not a pain to open and close.

If you could make that hand held,  that would be waaaay too useful!
Still have the air line hooked to a tank with a quik connect, but have a
pistol grip and trigger to hold it out the window!  Take a small CO2 tank
with it to the ball games,  fun. . .

Looking good man, still have a ways to go until you get it the way you want it mounted.  Good work so far....
